Functions of Work Gloves

Chemical Resistance

Aibon’s work gloves can provide chemical resistance, but the specific chemicals they can protect against depend on the material of the gloves and the work environment in which they are used.

Here are the chemical substances that our work gloves can and cannot protect against. Please choose carefully:

  • Latex Gloves: Generally suitable for protecting against dilute acids, alkalis, and alcohols, but not effective against organic solvents (such as benzene and toluene) or petroleum products.
  • Nitrile Gloves: These can protect against fats, petroleum products, organic solvents, acids, and alkalis, but are not effective against ketones (such as acetone) and esters.
  • Cut-Resistant Gloves: Provide resistance against weak acids, weak alkalis, and oils, but have limited protection against strong acids, strong alkalis, and some organic solvents.
  • Cotton Textile Gloves: Generally not effective against chemicals and may degrade or corrode when in contact with strong acids, strong alkalis, or organic solvents, thus failing to provide effective protection.

Cold-Resistance Function

Our work gloves are not only suitable for daily use but also for extremely harsh weather conditions, especially during cold winter seasons.

Our work gloves typically achieve cold resistance through the following methods:

  1. Material Selection: Use cold-resistant and warm materials such as wool, down, cotton, and textiles with excellent insulation properties. Additionally, add a layer of windproof and waterproof material to the outer layer of the gloves.
  2. Lining Choice: Select warm materials for the glove lining, such as fleece or cotton, to achieve the cold-resistance function.
  3. Heated Gloves: These gloves incorporate heating elements or technology to generate heat through electrical energy, keeping your hands warm. Most heated gloves can be connected to an external power source or use rechargeable batteries, making them the preferred choice for many when it comes to cold-resistant gloves.

Electrical Insulation Function

Generally, gloves do not possess electrical insulation properties, except for those from Aibon. We categorize our gloves according to different levels of electrical insulation, allowing you to understand their capabilities more intuitively.

  • Rubber Gloves: Typically withstand up to 1000V.
  • Nitrile Gloves: Can generally withstand up to 5000V or higher.
  • Latex/Nitrile Coated Gloves: Usually can withstand voltages below 500V.
  • High-Voltage Insulation Gloves: Capable of withstanding extremely high voltages, typically ranging from 10,000V to 100,000V, providing high insulation performance and safety.
